The Relationship-by-Objectives (RBO) Programme is designed to improve relationships that have broken down or are laden with deep-seated perception. It concentrates on the process by which Labour and Management may begin to work in a positive manner.

Objectives

The RBO is intended to guide participants in the:

  • identification of viewpoints, conflict areas and concerns that hinder a productive labour-management relationship.
  • formation of joint-committee to design an objective-based plan to resolve problems and build a mutually beneficial working relationship.
  • development of skills that will enable participants to work together to address labour-management concerns.
  • Participants are led through the steps necessary to brainstorm to identify problems and possible solutions; they will openly discuss sensitive subjects, work together to propose actions to improve the relationship and create an objective-based and time-specific plan to implement these actions.
