Austin Akufo Gamey has been appointed as th Executive
Consultant for PULSE Africa Inc. The appointment was
made by PULSE Institute, a foremost Mediation Group
with headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, Canada effective

Overview
This programme is
a compilation of the best practices
in Labour-Management and contract
administration training.
Human Resource, Heads
of Departments or Supervisors and
Local Union Executives and Shop Stewards
represent the front line for translating
a labour agreement into practice.
Their ability to fulfill those roles
and responsibilities will help to
determine the success of the implementation
of the labour agreement. To equip
them to work effectively together
within the labour agreement, it is
important for them to understand the
process of arriving at the labour
agreement, as well as their roles
and responsibilities in administering
the agreement.
Objectives
The programme is designed to equip
the above office holders with the
knowledge, understanding and skills
needed to work effectively within
the labour agreement. It provides:
• Legal History of labour management
relations
• An overview of contract negotiation
process
• An overview of contract administration
• An overview of grievance process
in line with (Act 651)
• An overview of mediation and
arbitration procedure
• Information on the Local/Shop
Stewards-Management relationship and
roles and responsibilities
• Interpersonal/Interdependency
and problem-solving skills needed
to resolve workplace issues
